Unrests in Malindi after police arrested a man while making love to his wife at night!

Residents of Malindi were angered by area police officer after they arrested their colleague at night while he was headed to cloud nine.

The angry denizens stormed and blocked the main Malindi Mombasa highway at Msabaha area protesting against the uncouth arrest of their comrade.

For over two hours, the taxpayers blocked the main highway by burning logs and barring motorists from crossing the area, something that lead to a major traffic jam around the area.

According to an eye witness, ructions started at around 3am, Monday 31st of May 2021, after police raided a home in Pendukiani and arrested One Mr. Baraka Gona over a land dispute that they have with a tycoon claiming ownership.

The officers, according to his wife, forced the man out of his bedroom naked while having good time, dragged him in front of his family and tortured him before arresting him.

Residents were awaken by cries from the family, they rushed to the scene and found the police officers doing the unthinkable. They then decided to retaliate by blocking an highway.

“We have closed the road because our brother was arrested by the police over a land dispute. The local chief is aware of it, the county commissioner also knows it,” One of the residents told Journalists. More
