Why Mudavadi and CS Alfred Mutua missed president Ruto’s cabinet meeting in Mombasa!

On Friday, November 3, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Tourism CS Alfred Mutua were conspicuously absent from a Cabinet Meeting convened by President William Ruto at State House Mombasa.

According to the reports, Musalia Mudavadi failed to turn up as he accompanied King Charles III to Fort Jesus as he concluded his four day visit to Kenya.

Further reports indicates that the Prime CS was also at the British Monarch’s meeting with religious leaders from diverse communities in Mombasa.

On the other hand, CS Mutua is currently participating in the World Travel and Tourism Council Summit.

“I am currently in Kigali, Rwanda, attending the World Travel and Tourism Council summit. This marks a historic occasion as it’s the first time this event is being hosted in an African country,” he posted on his X platform.

The Tourism CS further clarified that the summit is currently involved in discussions centered around streamlining travel for tourists within the continent, with a specific emphasis on enhancing both air and rail transportation.

“It’s estimated that the tourism sector will experience a remarkable growth rate of over 5% in the coming year, potentially generating at least 6 million job opportunities for our citizens.

“To harness this growth, our primary objective is to prepare strategically by intensifying our marketing efforts and diversifying our tourism offerings, especially in the realms of sports and adventure tourism,” he added. More
