Raila makes new revelation why men should not Circumcise!

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has made new relation on why men should not or must not get circumcised.

Raila Odinga pointed out that  male circumcision is not that significant to determining a person’s status in society.

The former prime minister, while speaking during the launch of the Busia County recruitment initiative on Monday, January 15th, stated that male circumcision exercise should not be used to block some individuals from accessing certain privileges.

The opposition leader, when discussing certain Bantu communities, pointed out that some individuals were viewed as immature if they hadn’t undergone circumcision. Additionally, there was a belief that those who hadn’t undergone this ritual were deemed unsuitable for holding positions of authority, according to Raila.

However, he dismissed these claims, asserting that the rite of passage was only introduced in Kenya through religious practices and is not obligatory.

Azimio leader Raila further criticized individuals who use circumcision as a measure of maturity, referring to them as foolish.

“Circumcision is only a Kenyan Bantu thing. It is a trivial matter that came with religion. It was introduced in Kenya to the Bantus through religion.

“Bantus in DRC do not circumcise same as in Cameroon and South Africa. Anyone that takes circumcision seriously is a fool,” Raila stated amidst applause from the crowd. More
