Shocking reason why Moses Kuria called off his soccer tournament in Meru!

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has called of his planned soccer tournament in Meru after Tigania east member of parliament Mpuru Aburi warned him.

According to the reports, the sporting competition Dubbed the Moses Kuria Cup tournament which was scheduled to start on February 4th 2024, would have brought teams from 64 constituencies in the larger Mt Kenya region.

According to the out spoken CS, the soccer tournament was meant to promote peace and unity and also bring positive values in the mount Kenya region.

The tournament, however pinned down by a section of Meru residents led by MP Aburi, who claimed the CS was working in cahoots with Governor Kawira Mwanganza to squander the county monies.

The outspoken legislator further pointed out that the tournament was being used to divert attention from the murder of Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper, making a vow to stop it in any way possible.

“You have organised the tournament with the Meru governor to divert attention from seeking justice for Sniper. Moses Kuria does not be, going to you, you bring the tournament, we bring stones,” said Aburi.

Moses Kuria, after being Scared by the threats, Kuria announced putting off his tournament in the Meru part of Mt Kenya.

“After consultations with the FKF leadership and for the sake of safety and security of players, we have excluded the 9 Meru Constituency Clubs from the tournament,” said Kuria.  More
