The former Mathira member of Parliament warned governors against rejecting or criticizing the finance bill that has highly been rejected by Azimio leaders.

Gachagua spoke after meeting governors in his Karen mansion for the 20th Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC).

Gachagua said that all governors should be on the same side as the government saying the state will not borrow money for developments.

“We have requested them (governors) even as others criticise measures that have been taken in the Finance Bill, the governors should be cautious of joining the choir.

“If we do not collect enough revenue, they are the ones who are going to have a problem,” Gachagua said.

This comes just a day after the second in command warned MPs against voting down the bill saying there will be consequences. More
