One dead, 8 injured after two school buses involved in a nasty accident!

A grisly accident involving two school buses has left one person dead and 8 students injured.

The nasty accident occurred along the Baricho-Kagio road in Kirinyaga County.

Ndia police boss Moses Koskei, who confirmed the incident said that the two buses involved in the accident belonged to Trinity Academy and Kutus Municipality primary schools.

He said that the busses were on their normal morning routine of transporting students to their respective schools before the accident happened at 6.30am.

Koskei revealed that the buses crushed head on as the one of the buses was driving towards a different route, off the main road while the other was passing by the main road, thus resulting to the accident.

The police boss said one passenger in the Kutus Municipality school bus died on the spot while the others 8 pupils and one teacher in the Trinity primary school bus sustained injuries.

The Injured were rushed to Kerugoya level four hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
