Why A Mercedes Benz burst into flames along Thika Road!

It was like a horror moving on Monday afternoon, 20th of September 2021 at roasters, along Thika super highway after a black Mercedes Benz burst into flames.

According to an eye witness, the sedan that was coming from Nairobi tow, heading towards Thika started emitting smoke from the bonnet area, forcing the driver to stop the care immediately.

As soon as the driver put the automobile into complete halt, it started burning and flames could be seen coming from the engine area.

Police rushed to the scene and the inferno was contained within a shake of a duck’s tail.

Kasarani OCPD Peter Mwanzo, speaking to Balindiway Media said the motorists was heading towards Thika from Nairobi when the vehicle’s engine suffered an internal electric fault.

“He was coming from Nairobi heading towards Thika. At around 12 pm, around Roasters, the car bursts into flames as the motorist was driving.

“The police officers rushed to the scene and the fire was put out within minutes,” Mwanzo stated.

After our own investigation, the car was out of coolant and the driver had been driving it with a thirsty engine. That’s it over-heat, hence the fire. More
