Shocking things you didn’t know about Starlet Wahu’s killer John Matara!

More details continue to emerge about the serial murder suspect John Matara, who has gained notoriety after being linked to the death of socialite Starlet Wahu.

Matara is the prime suspect in the murder of his 26-year-old sister, Prophet Victor Kanyari, whose body was found last Thursday in an Air BnB room in South B, Nairobi. He was apprehended at Mbagathi Hospital while seeking medical treatment for several injuries.

So far, we have managed to gather some information about the 34-year-old man, some of which is shocking and reveals cruelty within the former Butere Boys High School student.

Here are some things you should know about John Matara;

His real name is John Ongoa Matara, 34 years old from Kisii County. He studied at Butere Boys High School.

He used to be a reggae artist under the name “Rebelius Monk”. He has a song titled ‘Time has Proven’ on YouTube. He deceives and scams/robs money from his female victims.

Matara told the police that he is a graphic artist. He was alleged to be a regular marijuana user. At some point, he was a Rastafarian

Matara acquires his victims through dating apps. He was arrested at Mbagathi Hospital along with his friend Anthony Nyongesa.

He remains in custody at the Industrial Area Police Station for he is the main suspect in the murder of Starlet Wahu. The suspect may be a serial killer and robber.

Police are holding him for 21 days to allow for further investigation.
So far, three victims have provided statements to the police.
Other potential victims continue to disclose their experiences with him on social media. More
