Big blow to Ruto as Canada takes action following regular power Outages in Kenya!

The Canadian government has released a travel advisory advising its citizens to exercise a high level of caution when traveling to Kenya during the upcoming festive season.

The advisory, as reported by Citizen Digital, highlights various concerns including terrorism, elevated levels of criminal activities, frequent power outages, and safety issues with public transport systems and roads that may pose risks to the well-being of Canadian travelers.

Specifically, Canadian citizens are strongly discouraged from traveling to regions near the Somalia border, such as Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Lamu Counties, due to potential threats of kidnapping and terror attacks.

Additionally, caution is advised against traveling to areas bordering South Sudan and Ethiopia, where incidents of armed banditry and cross-border violence have been reported.

“Avoid all travel to areas within 50 km of the coast of Tana River County and within 50 km of the coast of Kilifi County (from north of the city of Malindi to the Tana River County limits) due to a risk of kidnapping and attacks,” the advisory reads in part.

In Nairobi, Canadians are warned to stay away from high-crime city estates such as Eastleigh, Kibera, and Pangani.

They are advised to avoid displaying wealth, carrying large amounts of money, and to safeguard their financial resources and travel documents by not keeping them together.

Travelers are also cautioned against leaving their food and drinks unattended in entertainment joints and should be vigilant against local con artists targeting foreigners. More
