Not to impeach Ruto! Azimio insider reveals reason for 10 million signatures collected by Raila Odinga!

Azimio la Umoja new drive to collect 10 million signatures which is led by opposition leader Raila Odinga may be aimed not to unseat president William Ruto, according to faction top ally.

During Saba Saba rally in Kamukunji ground, Nairobi, on 7th July, Azimio la Umoja launched the operation, stating that his side was targeting about 10 million Kenyans to back the petition to remove Ruto from offic.

Raila also accused president Ruto of overseeing the high cost of living and mismanaging the country and also imposing high taxes unnecessary.

However, the party’s top brass has exposed that the signatures may not be necessarily marshalled to remove the president from office.

Fredrick Okango, pointed out that the main reason was to have Kenyans have back the powers they have delegated to Ruto.

“We are not seeking for impeachment but for delegitimization and withdrawal of the sovereigns’ delegated powers.

“In any case, if the MPs are exercising delegated powers from the people to remove from office,then the people can actually take back those powers and remove by themselves.

“Rem the office of President shall also become vacant under any other provisions of CoK,2010 (eg Article 1) other than Article 144, 145 or 146,” he revealed. More
