On Wednesday, April 14th 2021, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers arrested two women with very highly advanced dangerous weapons.
According to a report from the DCI, after the two women were apprehended, some of some of the arms recovered include an M4 sniper rifle with the ability to aim a target half a kilometers away.
Also recovered was four pistols and a close-quarter Uzi automatic submachine gun, capable of firing over 600 bullets per minute.
An assortment of over 3,700 rounds of ammunition of different caliber, was also recovered.
Detectives believe that, the weapons were sneaked into the country for terror-related activities.
“The weapons which include an M4 rifle, with an effective range of 500 meters, were recovered from two ladies Joyce Muthoni Mwihia and her mother Goretti Mwihia, both of whom hold dual citizenship and live in Racecourse, Dagoretti Corner in Nairobi.
