Activist behind viral Uhuru poster arrested!

A Kenyan activist that made a viral Uhuru Kenyatta poster that has been trending on social Media was on Tuesday, 6th April 2021 arrested and arraigned at the Milimani law court.

Activist Edwin Kiema made a poster of President Uhuru Kenyatta following the ongoing unrest in Kenyatta on matters IMF loans to the Kenyan government.

According to activist Boniface Mwangi, Edwin Kiama was arrested for cyber crime related offenses.

“The police are accusing him of making a public notice asking the world to stop lending money to Kenya,” activist Boniface Mwangi stated.

Via his twitter account, Edwin shared posters asking International Monetary Funds (IMF) not to loan money to Kenya.

The posters that had President Uhuru Kenyatta photo indicated that, he should not transact on behalf of the Kenyan residents.

The poster that has been trending since Sunday has been used by so many Kenyans online with hashtag #StopLendingKenya.

This was after Millions of Kenyans raised eye brows on the urgency of borrowing Money by the Kenyan government from international bodies, many arguing that, the borrowed monies will go into pockets of corrupt Kenyan leaders, making Kenyans to suffer in near future. More
