Raila in tears after his close allies leads a “NO” BBI campaign!

Former prime minister Raila Odinga has been shocked by spreading rumours that his close allies are leading a No campaign on Building bridges initiative (BBI).

This is after a members of parliament and the ODM party lawmakers differed with the proposal on the additional 70 constituencies, claiming that, ODM has been duped.

Legislators from Nyanza, Led by Siaya senator James Orengo and Ruaraka member of parliament TJ Kajwang have vowed not to support BBI if amendments are not done.

MP Kajwang pointed out that, parliament had a duty under article 95 and 96 to new-look the BBI.

“I get worried when I hear members speak as if they are not members of this House. When you say you are ceremonial yet the constitution has Articles 94, 95 and 96,” he said.

“We will deal with it as the National Assembly, we have a voice. How we deal with this thing is what we have charged the committee to let us know.” Kajwang narrated.

This is come few hours after BBI secretariat offices were closes abruptly today 29th march and keys handed over to Harambee house in care of cabinet secretary Karanja kibicho. More
