Matatu tout stones a mechanic to death!

A matatu tout has been arrested for allegedly stoning a mechanic to death over a sh 50 bus fare change.

30 years old, Nelson Omondi, a kirinyaga based-mechanic, was on Tuesday, 3rd November 2020, stoned and killed by a Dandora route matatu tout.

His colleague James Odhiambo Owuor, narrated that, the deceased and three other mechanics left town on Tuesday at around 7 pm and boarded a matatu, registration number KCB 283J, belonging to Aldana Sacco.

On reaching Stage 41 in Dandora, the deceased demanded his change and the conductor obliged.

Police have said that, Nelson was hit by a stone in the face, that resulted to injuries and bleeding, he was rushed to mama Lucy hospital, and later transferred to kenyatta national hospital, where he succumbed while receiving treatment. More
