President Ruto dealt another big blow after MPs rejected his nominee after shocking details emerged!

Members of parliament have once again dealt president William Ruto a big blow after rejecting a nominee he appointed after uproar.

On Tuesday 4th July, the MPs rejected the appointment of Phillis Wambui  as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), due to her old age.

In a motion filed by Runyenjes member of parliament Karemba Muchangi and tabled before the House, the legislators rejected Wagacha’s nomination after being recommended by the Departmental Committee on Labour.

According to the reports, the committee revealed that the 75 years old had surpassed the age limit which is supposed to be 63 years old.

“Taking  into consideration the findings of the Departmental Committee on Labour in its report on the vetting of a nominee for the appointment as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

“This House rejects the appointment of Dr. Phyllis Wambui Wagacha as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission,” read part of the directives.
