Raila Odinga in tears after Court issued arrest Warrant against his iron man. This is why!

Opposition leader, former premier, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga is currently not happy.

This is after court issued arrest warrant against one of his trusted ally just hours to the start of Azimio, Kenya Kwanza bipartisan talk.

On Friday, 12th of May 2023, an arrest warrant was issued against Lamu West Member of Parliament Stanley Muthama over an outstanding debt of Ksh2.2 million.

Direct orders from deputy registrar of the High Court instructed police in Lamu County as well as those at the Parliament building to immediately arrest the lawmaker.

According to the court, Muthama refused to pay after hardware goods were supplied to a company owned by the lawmaker.

“Whereas the sum remains unpaid in respect of the said decree, these orders are to command you to arrest the said Mr Muthama and unless they shall pay to you the sum of Ksh2,277,469 together with executing officer’s fees, if any, to bring the said judgment-debtor before the court with all convenient speed,” the arrest warrant read in part.

Reports has it that the goods were initially estimated to be Ksh9 million with the legislator clearing Ksh6.7 million. More
