its getting nasty! One person shot in Nairobi as demonstration escalates.

One person has been shot and injured during the Raila’ led Monday Maandamano on 20th March in Nairobi.

The incidence happened near Toi Market, along Ngong Road as police officers tried to bar the protestors from accessing Nairobi, CBD.

According to reports, the middle aged man who was shot is a mechanic and was not among the protestors.

The victim was rushed to Iran medical hospital, along Ngong Road opposite Shell Adams arcade.

Report indicates that the  National Police Service Commission (NPSC) is yet to issue an official statement concerning the matter.

This comes hours after police arrested MPs allied to Azimio la Umoja party leader Raila Odinga including National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, Senate Minority Whip Stewart Madzayo and Malindi MP Amina Mnyazi at KICC.

Reports indicates that the police are engaged in running battles with Azimio supporters in Nairobi and Kisumu.
