Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has made a key proposal to president William Ruto on formation of commission of inquiry.
The ODM law maker now wants the commission of inquiry on Bomas of Kenya chaos to investigate the last two general elections (2017 and 2022).
In a statement, Olekina pointed out that it will be wise for the commissioners to establish what really happened in the two general election for the truth to be known.
“Mr. President William Ruto to end all conspiracy theories and the talk on the IEBC debacles, let’s cut to the chase!
“Set up a Commission of inquiry and extend it to cover the last two elections! ….People are glorifying Chebukati as if he is a saint? NKT !” he said.
Raila’s point man proposal came days after IEBC former chair Wafula Chebukati and other Commissioners urged president William Ruto to form the commission of inquiry to investigate the Bomas chaos.
“The outcome of the inquiry we believe will bolster the independence of the commission and make sure it maintains the stature contemplated in the constitution.
“It will also enable a future election environment devoid of harassment, intimidation, profiling and harm of commission staff while discharging their duties,” Wafula said.
