The four descending Independent Electro and Boundaries commission (IEBC) commissioners have found themselves in a very deep pot of boiling soup after quitting their well paying jobs.
Three of Cherera four have already tendered their resignations after president Ruto launched a tribunal to investigate.
According to a statement released on Friday, 9th of December 2022, Juliana Cherera and the other three commissioners, Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi, and Irene Masit will be grilled individually.
According to Justice Aggrey Muchelule, who is charring the tribunal, Cherera and her team, despite resigning they will be served with relevant documents by Monday 12th of December 2022 to allow their respective legal teams enough time to respond.
In their resignation letters, the three had indicated that their resignations was of the country’s best interest adding their actions where misunderstood.
In an allegation that the four denied, they were being accused of trying to subvert the will of the people in the August 9th election. More
