As a move to contain the head of state, Raila and team have warned of serious aftermath if Ruto continues with his move to inject the four IEBC officials lead by vice chair Juliana Cherera.

Among things Raila is planning to do, according to Makau Mutua on Saturday, November 26 is boycotting the 2027 General Election.

Vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera, and commissioners Irine Masit, Justus Nyangaya, and Francis Wanderi, were accused of attempting to subvert the people’s will/

According to Makau Mutua, Ruto is using the Cherera 4 to settle scores as he plans to take control of IEBC ahead of 2027.

“UDA needs to know that if through a kangaroo process in Parliament or without it dismisses and replaces the IEBC four that the 2027 elections, and any by-elections, won’t take place. Period,” Mutua posted on his social media account.

This came as some Azimio allied leaders call for return of opposition street protests in order to keep Ruto’s government in check. More
