President William Ruto has finally answered opposition leader Raila Odinga after he criticized him over the impeachment of Cherera 4.
Via a short presser on Thursday, Raila had warned Ruto against carrying on revenge mission targeting anyone that was against his August 9th win.
In reply, the head of state told off the opposition leader saying the Azimio la Umoja leader was responsible for the problems eating the country now.
“The lords of impunity, who destroyed oversight institutions using the handshake fraud, should allow Parliament to hold rogue officials who put the nation in danger by subverting the democratic will of the people to be held to account,” President Ruto tweeted.
Ruto warned Raila and his team that the rule of law must prevail against anyone who endangered the lives of Kenyans.
“New order is the rule of law, not the wishes of big men,” he added.
In response to Ruto’s tweet, Raila accused the commander in chief of engaging in trivial matters instead leading the country forward.
“There is due process and natural justice, things aren’t just done at the whims of the executive. The rule of law must prevail and not your jungle laws that you want to institute to subjugate Kenyans to a conveyor belt system of elections come 2027. We shall not relent,” Raila responded to Ruto.
