A key ally of president William Ruto has opened up on the situation in UDA party a day after MPs defied the head of state’s list for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) seats.
Nandi senator Samson Cherargei has pointed out that Kenya Kwanza coalition is very intact and united, adding that there was no divisions in the coalition after legislators elected two candidates did not receive State House backing.
While congratulating all the EALA elected member of parliament, the senator further pointed out that he ” did not vote for dynasties.”
“The Party Position of UDA/Kenya Kwanza prevailed in Bunge. Ignore Azimio-OKA propaganda. The UDA/Kenya Kwanza is Intact as orbit sweet,” he said on his social media platforms.
On Thursday, 17th November, MPs elected former MP Iringo Kubai and Mwangi Maina to the regional parliament though their names were not on the list unveiled by Ruto at a state house with lawmakers a day earlier.
