Deputy president and Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto has sent a message to his Azimio la Umoja counterpart Raila Odinga few days after announcing that he won’t be attending the presidential debate that is scheduled on Tuesday July 26th, 2022.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Nandi County on Monday, the Deputy President told the former Prime Minister that he would be waiting for him at the debate and he should stop being coward.
The second in command fearlessly asked the ODM party leader to turn up for the debate to at least elaborate his agendas to Kenyans.
“I want to encourage my competitor Mr. Kitendawili tafadhali wewe kuja kwa debate. Mimi nakungojea kwa debate kwa sababu Wakenya wanataka kujua hii Tibim na Tialala ni kitu gani. Wakenya wanataka kujua hizi hadithi zako za hekaya za Abunuasi ni kitu gani,” Ruto stated
Ruto’s remarks come after Raila’s presidential campaign secretariat stated that he will not be attending the presidential debate at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). More
