End of Azimio as their biggest ally threatens to join DP Ruto’s UDA due to chicanery!

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake brother, former prime minister and BBI master piece Raila Odinga are not so happy.

This is because of the ongoing tussle in their Azimio movement that is making most of their key members defect to their opposing side.

Last year, we saw the three Ukambani governors, Charity Ngilu of Kitui, Alfred Mutua of Machakos and Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni unite to support Raila Odinga.

On Wednesday, Machakos Gov. Alfred Mutua and his Makueni counterpart and a short presser and they were very angry complaining that they might ditch Azimio due to poor representation and luck of transparency.

Speaking on Citizen TV on Thursday, 7th of April 2022, Mutua said that small parties in Azimio are being frustrated saying that they are now planning to join Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza.

“We still have time. There is the option of joining Kenya Kwanza. I saw a missed call this morning from DP Ruto. His people have been calling me for weeks.

“It is not that we are lost for options. What we want is to be treated with respect because we are doing this for Raila Odinga. We will not agree to be tricked,” angry Mutua said. More
