Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga has opened up over the recent claims made by president Uhuru Kenyatta on being impeached by his deputy William Ruto.
Raila, who is in hot political contest with DP Ruto stated that he was not aware of any impeachment claims or attempt on his handshake partner president Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former primer, speaking after meeting with universities academic staff union on Tuesday 29th march, said he had nothing to say about the matter because he was unaware.
“I am not aware of any impeachment attempts or claims on President,” Raila told Citizen TV on Tuesday, “I’ve got nothing to say”.
This comes few days after president Uhuru claimed that his deputy wanted him out so that he would ascend the power through the backdoor.
Kenyatta, addressing Gìkùyù elders who visited him at State House, Nairobi said Ruto had an insatiable appetite for power and was keen on fomenting dissent from within the Jubilee party, to elbow his boss.
