Wazito fc have sacked their head coach following an underwhelming start to their football Kenya federation premier league season.
Kimanzi, who has been in charge since November 2020 was sent packing alongside his assistant John Kamau and Jeff odongo as well as goalkeeper trainer Samuel Koko.
Youth team coach Fred Ambani has been promoted to take over the reins on interim basis and will in charge of bringing back the wazito ship back on it’s course.
“We can confirm that head coach Francis Kimanzi, his assistants Jeff Odongo and John Kamau, and the goalkeepers’ coach Samuel Koko have left the club. we wish them well in their future endeavors.
“Youth team head coach Fred Ambani assumes first-team duties in the interim with immediate effect,” Wazito said in a statement.
This comes after Wazito fc encountered a 4-2 defeat last Sunday to basement side Vihiga Bullets, who had never won a top-flight league. More
