On Wednesday evening, 6th October 2021, news of Weston Hotel situated along busy Lang’ata Road, which is linked to Deputy president William Ruto was set for demolition went viral on social media.
It all started with a tweet from a tweeter account linked to kapseret member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, who claimed plans to demolish the 5 star Hotel on the night of Wednesday were already in the high gear.
To prove his claims, the MP accompanied his statement with photos of bulldozer bundled on a carrier vehicle suggesting that the demolition was primed to start in a short while.
“Deep State are indeed cornered. They have today decided to express their fury by demolishing Weston Hotel,” read Sudi’s statement in part.
Speaking to a local media House, a police attached to Lang’ata police station said that, under jurisdiction the hotel stands, they were not aware of any demolitions.
According to reports, the rumors about the Weston Hotel demolitions were not true and they were just politically instigated. More
