Uhuru explains why he launched projects at night while Ruto was in Uganda!

A section of Kenyans were left confused after learning that President Uhuru Kenyatta launched key projects at night during curfew hours.

On Tuesday 7th July 2021, president Kenyatta commissioned five new hospitals in Nairobi county.

The presidential strategist communication unit (PSCU), said the president directed that public hospital in Nairobi should offer 24hrs services to ensure city residents easy access to health facilities.

“The dispensaries and level 2 health facilities should operate 24 hours services in order to decongest Kenyatta National Hospital and Mama Lucy Hospital. 

“Instead of someone using money to go and seek medical services at Kenyatta National Hospital, they need to access these services at the facilities which are near them,” the president stated. 

During the four-hour operation, the head of state was accompanied by NMS director general Muhammed Badi and several senior government officials.

While the first in command was doing all these at night, DP William Ruto was taking a nap in Uganda after meeting the president Museveni on matters developmet.

Uhuru Kenyatta, via a short speech after commissioning the projects said the decision was taken after key consideration to coronavirus preventive measures. He said he didn’t want to out people’s lives in danger.

“It would have been very difficult for us to do the job we wanted to do and at the same time observe Covid-19 protocols that the government has put in place,” he told journalists. More
