DP William Ruto has finally broken the silence hours after he was betrayed by his key allies in parliament during BBI voting.
The second in command started by thanking the members of parliament for taking their time to vote for the bill saying that they did a very good democratic job.
“Being a democracy, the National Assembly voted on the Constitution Amendment Bill and so will the Senate,” said Ruto.
The DP added that, the bill will now be taken to the common mwananchi who will make their constitutional decision just like their leaders did.
Ruto urged people to respect other people’s decisions and accept democratic outcome.
“When the people’s turn comes, they too will vote and we will march on. We should respect everyone’s decision and accept democratic outcomes; all views make us stronger,” he added. More
